Alliance for Consumers USA Inc (ACUSA) Announces New Ex Director

The Alliance for Consumers USA Inc (ACUSA) is pleased to announce that Bill Smythe has been hired to lead ACUSA as their new Executive Director. Smythe will be taking over the day to day operations from board President Matt Snyder who will be moving on to lead Equipoint Partners LLC as they introduce new insurance products into the group health and trade association marketplace. Mr. Snyder will retain his seat on the board and continue to assist Mr. Smythe during the transition.

“Bill brings a depth of knowledge and skills outside of the insurance industry that the board felt would help us expand both the products and member benefits offered by ACUSA” said Snyder in commenting on the new addition to an association that he has led for two years.

Smythe, based in Fishers, IN joins ACUSA through his role as Principal in Smythe Lobby Group, LLC and was hired in part because he has extensive knowledge in trade associations and membership benefits. Prior to forming his lobbying group Smythe was owner/ manager of a chain of family owned restaurants and bars in the Indianapolis area for over 25 years and served as president of several industry trade associations during that time. As a small business owner, he is well aware of the difficulties facing individuals and small groups in securing insurance products for staff and the membership of associations.

ACUSA is a membership organization that provides several resources, products, services and benefits to its members and provides education relating to the instruction, training or providing of information to its members for enhancing consumer awareness in areas related to finance, health, wellness, the environment and other human issues.
